I have a 2019 Tracer Breeze 26DBS. The slide out side wipers started to separate and were flapping in the wind. This kit provided just enough to replace the outside side wipers and the top, though I haven't replaced the top wiper yet since it's still intact. Replacement took a bit to figure out and the instructions do provide some guidance. I might have been lucky but what I found works best is use a flathead screwdriver to slightly pry the bottom of the track withwhere the old wiper fits. Where I got lucky is the factory wiper extended about a half inch past the track which allowed me to grab that piece with needle nose pliers and pull it out from the track. Once started, you can pull continuously with your hand and remove the entire old wiper. The new wiper just pushes back in but there is a technique to it. It's hard to describe other than working the new wiper into the track slowly from outside in. Also, the instruction state to start at the bottom. I ignored this because it doesn't make sense to do it that way. I started at the top, sliding the new wiper under the top wiper and pushed it into the track. I left the roll intact for both sides and didn't cut to length until I was done. Working all the way to the bottom, I left about a half inch beyond the track for so future me can thank the present me when the wiper needs to be replaced again. Then I cut the length. I found for me, that it was very important to not waste much because when complete, I had about 3 inches to spare for the top wiper. The kit also came with a tube of adhesive. I decided I might use this if I have issues with the wiper coming out. I didn't use it because the factory wiper didn't have any and it was hard enough to remove. If I glued the new wiper in, I might be fighting to remove it when it needs to be replaced, so I didn't glue. So far it has held up through several openings and closings of my slide. It fits perfectly and solved my flapping wiper problem. I did spray some silicone spray on both sides of the wipers so they don't stick to my slide out.
Worked well easy install seals great
It is a fantastic solution for weatherproofing your motorhome! EPDM rubber is known for its durability and resistance to weathering, making it an excellent choice for sealing out water, wind, and insects. The easy installation process and the inclusion of modified silane sealant for an extra layer of protection are great bonuses. It's wonderful to see that the wiper seal performed well during the first rainfall, keeping my RV leak-free. Maintaining proper weather stripping is definitely essential for ensuring a comfortable and secure traveling experience.
This durable, natural rubber RV slide-out seal can be used for other purposes. It does well for a home entry door seal in cases where your door frame may be shifted out of square, and the corner shows sunlight coming through, even after you have latched and locked the door handle. Because of the short end, it can be tucked into the door casing in the same manner as the factory foam seal and no sealant is required in that case. I haven't even tried the included modified silane sealant but I get the feeling it is pretty serious stuff.
The nice LONG leading edge is what makes this seal so universal and effective at keeping out water and sealing in your cool air. I give it five stars for flexible fit, good performance, and universal fit!
This rubber seal is very durable, but still flexible enough that my husband was able to easily install it on our camper slide out. We were getna small leak around our dinette table because our old seal had dry rotted and began to crack and peal away.
It didn't take hardly any time at all to install this seal. I kind of fed it to my husband as he fitted it all into place. The adhesive seems very good as well, and so far we haven't had anymore problems.
Overall, nice rubber seal and good adhesive glue. It had definitely improved the air/water leak around our slide out and also looks so much better too.
